Law of the third strategy

The “Law of the Third” is a roulette strategy based on the mathematical theory that in a given number of spins, approximately one-third of the unique numbers on the roulette wheel will not appear. This is based on the law of large numbers and the variability inherent in random events. This is a good stratgegy and not to cheat the game.

What is the law of thirds strategy and do you play this strategy?

The strategy is applied as follows:

Observation

First you observe a series of spins without betting. The number of spins can vary, but many players choose 37 spins on a European roulette wheel (which has 37 numbers).

Noting

  • You note which numbers fall during these 37 spins.

Analysis

  • After this series of spins, you analyze the results to see which numbers did not fall. According to the “Law of the Third,” about one-third of the numbers (in this case, around 12-13 numbers on a European wheel) will not appear.

Bets

  • You then place bets on the numbers that have appeared, on the theory that these numbers are “hot” and more likely to fall again.

Gameplay Law of thirds

  • You follow this pattern for a new set of spins, adjusting your bets based on which numbers fall.

Criticisms and drawbacks Law of third

  • It is important to note that this strategy does not change the house edge of the casino.
  • Each spin of the roulette wheel is an independent event; the probability that a be
