Pragmatic Play released Gates of Olympus Roulette in April 2026, taking its best-known slot brand and building a live roulette table around it. Zeus, marble pillars, thunder on the studio ceiling, and a 6×5 slot grid waiting behind one number on the layout.

The claim that makes it worth a closer look is the return figure. Pragmatic lists the table at 97.30%, identical to standard European roulette, while paying 20:1 on straight-ups instead of 35:1. Most hybrid tables cut the return along with the payout. This one says it does not.

What Pragmatic Play released

Gates of Olympus Roulette was announced on 9 April 2026 and streams from Pragmatic Play’s dedicated live studio. The base game is European roulette: 37 pockets, single zero, the usual inside and outside bets, standard payouts on everything except single numbers.

It follows Mega Roulette 3000, Money Time and Sweet Bonanza CandyLand in the provider’s game show line, and it is the second time Pragmatic has moved a slot property onto a live floor rather than building a format from scratch. Betting time runs around 17 seconds per round, at the fast end for a table with this much happening between spins. Stakes go from 0.10 to 10,000.

Lucky Numbers, Bonus Number and the Super Booster

Three mechanics sit on top of the wheel, and all three are revealed before betting closes, which is a meaningful difference from Evolution’s approach of drawing bonus numbers after bets are locked.

• Lucky Numbers. Up to seven per round, each carrying a multiplier between 50x and 250x. A straight-up bet on a Lucky Number that lands pays the multiplier rather than the base rate.
• Bonus Number. One per round, always present. A winning straight-up bet on it opens the slot bonus round. A split or corner covering that number does not count.
• Super Booster. A random modifier that can fire on any spin, multiplying total winnings for that round by 2x to 10x. It applies to any winning bet type, including outside bets.

The Super Booster is the only feature an outside bettor ever touches. Everything else on this table is built for people betting single numbers, which is the same design decision behind every multiplier roulette released since Lightning. If your staking plan lives on the even-money and dozen bets, most of the game is decoration.

The slot bonus round

Hit the Bonus Number with a direct bet and the table gives way to a Gates of Olympus slot sequence on a 6×5 grid. It runs the original game’s rules: wins land when eight or more matching symbols appear anywhere on the grid, random multipliers up to 500x drop in during the sequence, and three or more scatters award extra spins.

This is where the ceiling sits. Base game outcomes top out around 2,500x with the Super Booster applied. The 10,000x headline comes almost entirely from the bonus round, which means the maximum win advertised on the lobby tile is not reachable through roulette at all. It is reachable through a slot that a roulette result happens to open.

What 20:1 does to a straight-up bet

On a standard wheel, a single number wins once in 37 spins and returns 36 units on a 1-unit stake. Here it returns 21 units unless the number was flagged as a Lucky Number or the Bonus Number that round. Fifteen units of guaranteed payout are being held back and redistributed through the multipliers.

Every bet other than the straight-up keeps its normal payout, so splits, streets, corners, lines, dozens, columns and the even-money bets behave exactly as they do on any single-zero table. The house edge on those is the familiar 2.70%. Nothing about the theme changes the wheel.

Reading the 97.30% claim carefully

Pragmatic publishes a single figure of 97.30% for the game, and reviewers have reported it as holding across all bet types. If accurate, that puts Gates of Olympus Roulette ahead of its direct competition, because comparable tables reduce the straight-up return when they reduce the payout. Lightning Roulette is the reference point at 29:1, and Evolution’s MONOPOLY Roulette runs its straight-ups at 96.59%.

The distinction matters because it is precisely where MONOPOLY Roulette diverges. Evolution publishes nine separate returns, one per bet type, and the spread runs from 97.30% down to 93.66%. Two games can both advertise a headline in the high nineties while offering very different chances on the bets you actually make.

The branded roulette wave of 2026

Two of the largest live suppliers launched a branded roulette table within eight weeks of each other this year: Pragmatic in April, Evolution in June. Both took a single-zero wheel, cut the straight-up payout by roughly half, and attached a licensed property to the difference. Evolution’s 2026 roadmap alone runs to 119 new live and RNG titles.

For players, the practical consequence is that the lobby is filling with tables that look like roulette and pay like something else. The wheel is honest, the mathematics are usually disclosed somewhere, and the paytable is one tap deeper than the marketing.
